The tap-off box is what earns the riser its place: a floor can be isolated, extended or re-fed at the plug-in point without touching the run above or below it.
Allow for building movement. A tall riser needs an expansion section, and a spring hanger at each floor slab so thermal growth is taken by the assembly rather than by the joints.
The source data sheet quotes 660 kV for rated service voltage; that is a typographical error for 660 V, which is what the range is built and tested to.
