Callisto started as a single cable counter in Gwalior serving the city's contractors and mills. The range has grown; the promise — genuine product, the right advice — has not changed.

For the first years we traded wires and cables for local contractors and mills. It taught us a great deal about what fails on site, because we were often the ones the customer came back to when a cheaper substitute let them down.
The decision that changed the business was becoming an authorised channel partner — buying direct from the manufacturers so every product carried a genuine warranty. Customers who had been burned by counterfeit stock started buying from us and did not stop.
A larger warehouse and showroom followed, then solar and automation divisions, and stocking extended into Madhya Pradesh. We added a technical desk because the fastest way to lose a customer is to hand them the right price for the wrong product.
Today we carry more than twenty-five authorised brands across thirteen categories. We still sell electrical product, and we still think the argument for selling it honestly is the same one it was on day one.

2011
Kundan Kumar begins four years at the University Institute of Technology, RGPV in Bhopal — the training the business is still run on.
2013
A sixteen-month vertical-axis wind energy project, written up and published in IJILT. The last piece of work before the trade.
2018
Registered for GST on 19 September 2018 as a proprietorship trading as Callisto (You Think We Do), working out of Kunwarpura, Gwalior.
Later
A second business under the same ownership, run on the same principle: a supplier is only worth having if it stands behind what it hands over.
Today
Electrical product, application support and turnkey work, with the founder still taking the technical calls himself.
Principle 01
Everything we sell comes through the manufacturer's authorised channel with warranty intact. We would rather lose a sale than move counterfeit cable or a fake breaker — the risk lands on the customer, not us.
Principle 02
If a BOQ contradicts itself, or specifies a rating the duty does not need, we raise it before we quote. It occasionally loses us an order. It has never once lost us a customer.
Principle 03
A smaller cable that still passes, an IE3 motor instead of IE4, a fan that fits the room. Our margin on the correct smaller solution is worth more than our margin on the larger wrong one.
Principle 04
Stock depth and scheduled delivery exist so a job is never waiting on us. A price means little if the material is not on site when the programme needs it.

An engineer by training, published on wind energy before he graduated, and the person who set the rule the business still runs on — say what is wrong with the specification before quoting it.
“Job is very easy, when we know our strength.”
Not a switchboard and not a call centre. The person who answers the enquiry is the person who sizes the product and owns the job.
Founder
Founder & Proprietor
An engineer by training — UIT RGPV, and a wind-energy project published before he graduated. He registered Callisto in Gwalior in 2018 and still takes the technical calls himself, which is the point rather than a symptom of size.
Every one of these can be produced on request. If a certificate is not listed here, we do not hold it.
