Specifying this panel
The double busbar is the answer to a plant that cannot be switched off. Each outgoing feeder has a selector that connects it to bus A or bus B; maintenance on one bus is done with the other carrying the site.
At 8000 A the constraint stops being the breakers and becomes the busbar itself — bracing, joint torque and temperature rise are what the type tests are actually proving.
