Specifying this panel
The MDB is where discrimination is usually won or lost. Set the incomer's short-time delay above the outgoing instantaneous trips, or a fault on one final circuit takes the whole floor.
Leave spare ways. Fitting a way into a live MDB means an outage on the board; twenty percent spare capacity at build costs almost nothing.
